Admissions remain open for all eligible applicants hoping to enroll at
Cal State San Bernardino for the fall quarter, including first-time freshmen,
lower- and upper-division transfer students, international and out-of-state
students, credential candidates and graduate students. Fall classes begin Sept.

professor accepts appointment to review board for National Institutes of Health
Cal State San Bernardino psychology professor Cynthia A. Crawford has
been selected to be part of a review panel that approves research grants for the
National Institutes of Health, the first faculty representative ever selected
from a public comprehensive university in the United States.

Gala
supports scholarships for mountain residents attending CSUSB
"Pinecones and Pineapples," the third annual Hawaiian-themed gala held
Sunday, July 9, at the Lake Arrowhead home of Neale and Patricia Perkins, raised
more than $140,000 to fund scholarships for mountain residents attending
California State University, San Bernardino.

Alumna
named vice president of student services
Diana Z. Rodriguez, B.A. marketing 1990, M.B.A. 1994, M.A. educational
counseling 2000, was named vice president for student services at Palo Verde
College in Blythe, where she will oversee several departments, including
Admissions & Records, Counseling, Financial Aid and the Transfer Center.
Diana previously served as coordinator of Transfer and Career Services at San
Bernardino Valley College, where she also was an assistant professor.

Nolan named assistant woman's basketball coach at CSUSB
Monique Nolan, who played two years of basketball for Head Coach Kevin Becker at

Class of 2006 grads show their
CSUSB pride
More than 400 members of the Class of 2006 joined the Alumni Association at Grad
Days, the university's one-stop shopping event for graduating seniors held in
April. The majority of these new Alumni Association members purchased the Grad
Pack - a one-year membership plus an official chrome alumni
license plate frame.

top prize at national cheer camp
Cal State San Bernardino's 13-member Cheer team took away the top prize at the
United Spirit Association's College/Pro Camp held July 24-26 at Anaheim
Convention Center.

Coyotes sweep past
Mesa State, Bryant in UCSD volleyball tourney
Cal State San Bernardino’s women’s volleyball team, ranked No. 12 in the
nation in pre-season polls, swept past Mesa State of Colorado and Bryant
University of Rhode Island Thursday on the first-day of the UC San Diego
Invitational. Each was a 3-0 win, and they give Coach Kim Cherniss her 300th
career victory in her 16th season at CSUSB.

Fall sports teams face tough opponents in 2006
Cal State San Bernardino has released the scheduled for the 2006 season for
women's volleyball, men's soccer, women's soccer and women's cross country and
each team will be facing some of the nation's best as their seasons progress.

Bill Stevenson '84
Bill
Stevenson, B.A. business administration 1984, is vice president and manager of
Citizens Business Bank’s Fontana business financial center, overseeing customer
service, operations, sales and lending staff. Bill, who has over 23 years of
banking experience, previously was senior vice president and branch manager for
American Security Bank.
