CSUSB to host NCAA Volleyball Championship

Cal State San Bernardino was selected Sunday as the host for the 2003 NCAA Division II National Volleyball Championship Tournament on Dec. 4-6.

The eight teams in the tournament will be playing in the 4,041-seat Coussoulis Arena, site of past regional tournaments in volleyball and men’s basketball. CSUSB is hosting a national championship event for the first time in school history.

"We are honored and thrilled to have been chosen to host the national championship. These eight teams represent the cream of the crop in Division II women's volleyball. It's a wonderful opportunity for Cal State and the community of San Bernardino," said Nancy Simpson, CSUSB athletic director.
