Coyotes
win fourth consecutive CCAA title
The
Coyotes finished up the regular season play with a 21-6 record, clinching
their fourth straight CCAA title,
the first time a CCAA team has won four straight championships in
men's basketball since Fresno State in 1961-65 and only the third
time in the history of the conference since it was founded in
1938-39 (Pepperdine,1950-53).
The
team began the season with a new coach, only four returning
players and only one starter. They went on to win a
school-record 21 games in a row, including 19 straight conference
games and were ranked as high as No. 9 in the nation at one
point...more
