Cal State San Bernardino and
six other California State University campuses will now accept freshman
applications until Saturday, March 1. The other 16 CSU campuses will
continue to observe a Feb.1 end-date for freshman applications.

deadlines approach
Current Cal State San Bernardino students,
incoming students, potential students, parents and the community are encouraged
to attend one of several financial aid workshops during the current Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) filing period through March 3.

The Palm
Desert Campus is now offering an Integrated Liberal Studies degree, which will
allow students to obtain a bachelor's degree and a multi-subject teaching
credential in four years instead of five.

department celebrates with alumni
The Department of Computer
Science celebrated its 25th anniversary by welcoming over 30 alumni back to
campus and announcing the department's name change, now known as the Department
of Computer Science and Engineering.

CSUSB alumni in the Washington, D.C. area are invited to join
Chancellor Charles Reed and the California State University trustees, presidents
and staff for a reception honoring the California Congressional Delegation.
Alumni can meet California legislators, network with other CSU alumni in the
area, and hear what’s new at Cal State San Bernardino.

Alumni Association accepting applications for $12,000
four-year scholarship
The Alumni Association will offer a $12,000
four-year scholarship to a graduating high school senior from the Inland Empire
who will be attending CSUSB in the Fall 2008 and who demonstrates outstanding
achievement, leadership and community service.

Both Coyote hoops teams ranked in top 25
It doesn't get much better than this if you are a
Coyote basketball fan. Both teams are ranked in the latest national polls for
the first time since intercollegiate athletics started at CSUSB, and both teams
are in first place in the CCAA with four games remaining in the regular season.

Senior to donate hair to 'Locks of Love'
Senior guard James Estrada last cut his hair in
December 2005. The reserve on the men's basketball team finally got a haircut
Thursday, a highlight of "Think Pink" night at CSUSB.

Darren Kettle
'93 Darren M. Kettle,
M.P.A. 1993, is the executive director of the Ventura County Transportation
Commission (VCTC), responsible for establishing transportation policies, setting
priorities and coordinating activities between various agencies, cities, and the
county.
Darren previously served as the
director of freeway construction for the San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG),
where he managed project development and construction for San Bernardino
Valley's largest transportation projects. |
