Celebrate
Earth Day at Environmental EXPO
Cal State SB’s award-winning Environmental EXPO returns to Coussoulis Arena on
Saturday, April 23. More than 10,000 people are expected for this annual Earth
Day event, which will feature water festival fun for kids, entertainment, a food
court and educational activities.

Literacy Center golf tournament tees off June 6
The College of Education will hold its inaugural Literacy
Center Golf Tournament on Monday, June 6, at the Arrowhead Country Club.
Tournament proceeds will be used to
provide fee waivers for participating children and their families
at the university’s new literacy center, which helps kids improve and enhance
their reading skills.

Alumna
artist showcased at Riverside reception
Leilani Child Wilds (B.A. art 1997) and Dr. Dennis Wilds
opened their Riverside home and Ruby Press Studio to alumni and friends on April
17 to showcase Leilani’s artworks and those of CSUSB students. The reception,
which was sponsored in part by the Alumni Association, included a monoprinting
demonstration by Leilani and a silent and live auction to benefit the Art
Department.

and Finance Department hosts 4th annual alumni reception
The Department of
Accounting and Finance, together with the CSUSB Alumni Association, invite
alumni and friends to the 4th Annual Accounting Alumni
Reception on Wednesday, June 1, 6:00 p.m., at the San Bernardino Hilton.
See former professors and classmates, and network with representatives from
local CPA firms.

Music
Department gala to feature eclectic tastes, sounds
The
CSUSB Music Department will host its First Annual Gala and Scholarship Event on
May 26, 2005 and will feature performances by the Chamber Winds, Chamber
Singers, Guitar Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and more. The CSUSB Jazz Ensemble
will follow these performances with some Big Band music, converting the space
into an open-air dance floor. The evening will culminate in a live auction of
the Ensemble’s performing services, and a series of silent auctions will be
conducted throughout the evening.

additional movement of goods without a head-on collision against our quality of

'75
Lee Roberts (B.A.
biology 1974, B.A. economics 1975), chairman and CEO of Costa Mesa-based
FileNet
Corp., was honored by the Software Council of Southern California with a
Lifetime Achievement Award in April. The SCSC recognizes leaders who are making
significant contributions to Southern California’s growing software industry.
Lee has been with FileNet since 1997 and has led the company’s transformation
from a document management pioneer to the world’s leading Enterprise Content
Management and Business Process Management provider.
